Titus 2:4 "..train the younger women to love their husbands and children...."
My child, the criminal?

I recently received an email asking about disciplining children, that reminded me of a conversation that I had with my brother about 15 years ago. We were both busy raising our families,  and I shared a story about a recent incident in our home. One of my children had done something VERY wrong, but none of them  would admit  to it. I asked my brother what he would have done in that situation. His answer was very interesting. He is a police officer, and has been for over 30 years. His answer was, “Criminals repeat their behavior, I’d let it go, and expect it to be repeated.”

Interesting!

Since I had NO idea which of my children was ‘the criminal’, I figured that I’d follow his advice.

It worked.

By the next week, the behavior was repeated.  It was NOT the child that I thought it would be.

Out of that incident and conversation, I decided to study what the Bible says about parenting. Yes, it was a little late, but better late…you know…….

I came up with a plan. When situations arose with my children that were not cut and dry, and I was unsure as to what to do, I would do my best,  but  I want to err on the side of grace.  It has ‘worked’ very well!  Tomorrow I’ll share more that I’ve learned!

It also works for our '45' year old children. Suspicions, no proof .... just wait and time does uncover the truth. Now what to do with it! Waiting for your follow up. In His Love, Elizabeth ps regards to your actress daughter.
